Our latest press comes from an inspirational editorial featured on The Wedding CoStyled by Laura Olsen Events and photographed by When He Found Her the editorial was inspired by the fantasy world of Narnia. Why Narnia? Well, here is what the artists had to say about that:

Our memories from childhood are funny things. A movie or story, so important in childhood, can at once be forgotten as an adult and yet somehow, still inspire. The influence can be direct, from images and others ideas or arouse a reinterpretation of old memories.

The Chronicles of Narnia, a series of books by C.S. Lewis, seems like a strange place to begin a themed shoot for a wedding. But for each of us, Narnia was the perfect starting off point to embrace the mystery and wonder the Pevensie family found and create something ethereal and decadent…See Full Editorial Here –>

How To Dress For Pride

June 25, 2013

With Toronto Pride right around the corner we’ve been getting a ton of messages asking for style tips on how to dress for the occasion. From first time goers to repeat vetrans, dressing up for Pride is much like any other event, it starts with your personality. It’s no secret that outfits only look their best when matched with the right personality. Having said that there are some key bits of information you may want to consider when picking your Pride outfit.

  1. You’ll be outdoors most of the day. So pick an outfit that is comfortable and made of fabrics that breath like cottons and linens.
  2. Whether you’re watching the parade or just hitting the party scene know that you’re going to be on your feet for several hours. As such, pick appropriate footwear.
  3. Pride is all about colour so by all means brighten it up. Splashes of colour are always a good idea.
  4. If you didn’t know we’re in the month of June, which means its going to be HOT. So, avoid wearing too many layers. K.I.S.S (Keep it simple sailor).
With these rules in mind we’ve put together some great looks that will have you feeling and looking your best this Pride weekend!

Fashion is quite often a balancing act between what you need and what you want. Fortunately, with Melissa’s list of summer essentials that decision will be quite easy because what you’ll need is quite likely what you’ll want this summer.

Why is it that when the weather gets warmer men forget everything they’ve learned about style. Shirts are left untucked, brogues are traded for dirty sneakers and lets not even mention sportcoats and blazers. Well, actually lets talk about that last one. If we haven’t emphasized enough blazers and sport coats are an essential part of any mans wardrobe. Having said we can only image that the reason men refuse to wear them in the summer is because they get too hot. To those men we offer you this great tutorial from Founder Melissa Austria who explains all the different options available, allowing you to stay stylish and cool all summer long.
