Style Tips

One Suit, Four Ways

May 16, 2014

Guys for the most part are conditioned to be very pragmatic shoppers. They look for things that they obviously need, but also things that give them the most amount of “versatility”. Though we are strong believers in having a diverse wardrobe, segmented for different occasions, we completely understand the need for versatility in ones closet. One of the most common questions we receive when wardrobing men in suits is, “Can these pieces be worn separately?”

To answer that very question we’ve put together this great style guide to demonstrate how you can wear one suit four ways.

On March 22, 2014 Gotstyle invited 400 of our top customers and industry partners to celebrate the start of the spring season at our Gotstyle  #PrintAndPattern Party. Hosted at at our Gotstyle Distillery location, guests were treated to a great selection of custom complimentary cocktails by Herradura Tequila and Gentleman Jack Whisky, our signature Gotstyle Spring fashion show and a Gotstyle gift card to help kick start their spring shopping.

Fall has officially started, and the temperature has definitely followed suit. Our shelves are filled with outerwear from your favourite brands, but they go fast so now’s the time to give yourself some outerwear updates. Trenches, duffles, wool, nylon, even some shearling – there’s something for everyone so check out what’s new this week.

Instead of opting for hoodies and t-shirts on weekends, here’s how to look more put together without sacrificing comfort: lightweight knit sweaters. There’s nothing more luxurious and cozy than knit sweaters, and this doesn’t always mean chunky knits. We have these lightweight and breathable sweaters great for layering and wearing under your jackets.

Gsus flanel plaid shirt $115.

Plaid, denim, and corduroy are three sure fire ways to look great for fall. No longer is plaid just for weekends; it’s for the office and night life, too. Solid colours and light patterns are great for the summer, but a switch to deeper colours and bolder patterns are always a welcome change.

Stones navy corduroy pants $198.

Since we started school, corduroy has been synonymous with fall. Who would have thought that after school we’d all continue to buy corduroy, willingly? This fall is going to be filled with cords, and there’s something for everyone – even a dressy pair.
