Normally the sartorial territory of ship captains and French film stars, the rarified double breasted blazer is hitting city streets in updated, more off-beat versions. The spring/summer trend is still ultra refined, but now works with denim (in a shorter length), work-worthy suiting, sleek social or imposing formal looks. The DB blazer elevates the simple to slick- there is an interpretation for every man.

It’s Ok To Be A Square

March 24, 2014

Some times it’s the littlest things that make this biggest difference, and pocket squares are definitely one of those little things. They have this miraculous ability to transform any outfit with a swift fold and tuck. Pocket squares can be worn at anytime, place, or function, and with any outfit. Whether you’re tying it around your neck, tucking it in the front chest pocket of your chambray shirt or sportcoat or adding it to your suit or tuxedo, the square has this ubiquitous sartorial influence over all things it touches. Without Prejudice is everything you’ve come to love about British sartorial style, without the arrogance. In fact, the two brother who founded the company did so out of frustration, they were tired of all the over-hyped, under-performing menswear lines that were big on swagger but offered mediocre quality. In retaliation to those houses the boys created a label that communicated individuality over mass appeal and avoided falling into the staid prejudices of label-worship. The end result, a great brand that offers a truly great fit. WP gives you that tailored slim-straight look ideal for that athletic guy who’s got that fuller chest, arm and legs. It’s also the only suit brand we carry that offers a Drop 8, which essentially refers to the jacket to pant ratio. Most brands offer a drop 6 or 7 which means that if you’re a 42 jacket you’ll get a 35/36 pant. With a Drop 8 you’d get a 42 jacket with a 34′ pant, giving you that perfect inverted “V” look.

Don’t take our word for it, come in and try one some our new Spring arrivals and see for yourself, or, simply ask GSP (Georges St-Pierre) or Joffrey Lupul, it happens to be one their favourite suit brands.

Pitti Uomo is the unofficial capital for sartorial elegance and if the exhibiting brands isn’t proof of that fact, the street style fashion definitely is. Last week on the heels of London Collections: Men, Pitti hosted their biannual trade show for four days in Florence, Italy. And as expected the show brought out some of the worlds best dressed men in droves. The thing that differentiate this trade show from it’s counterparts is that there is as much interest in the exhibitors as there is in the attendees. To give you a taste of what we’re talking about we scoured the internet to find some of the best images that accentuate our definition of great sartorial style.
