Now that we’re moving into fall, we’ve got TIFF, fashion week, holiday parties and many more social events coming up. There’s nothing worse than being the guy in the outdated or oddly coloured suit. If you plan on going out at night, a black suit is a must.

This Strellson three-piece suit is priced $850 and will have you covered for any social outing with its slim cut, neutral black colour and subtle sheen. Lasting for many seasons, it’ll serve as a versatile item in your wardrobe.

Switching up your look with colourful ties, bowties and dress shirts is never a challenge when you’re working with a solid black suit. For more formal events like weddings and funerals, a white dress shirt is the best option. For cocktails and social gatherings, feel free to play with colour and pattern. For an edgier look, go with a black dress shirt for a black on black look.

Long awaited are the new T-Concept suits by Tombolini – the ideal suit for the slim fit figure. On the left, Max is wearing the new charcoal suit ($750) with a Altea tie ($115) and Terri Brogan sunglasses ($189) from our Kings of Past collection. Available are four new styles of Tombolini suits in black and grey solid, with varying details.

Melissa says: TConcept is one of the strongest selling suit lines in the store; modern slim fit, half canvas construction, Italian fabrics, all this for the magic price point of $800. You won’t find better value for the money out there!

We’re having a great sale for our guys to stock up on suits and shirts! We’re doing an early clean out for fall, so if you wear a size 40 to 46T, this is the perfect opportunity to fill out your suit collection. Our Gotstyle suits are great for med to bigger build guys (we fit Anderson Silva, Cain Velasquez and GSP all in Gotstyle suits, see above)

→ Buy a Gotstyle Private Label Suit and 2 Gotstyle Private Label Shirts for $750
→ Buy a Gotstyle Private Label Three Piece Suit and 2 Gotstyle Private Label Shirts for $850

Normally you would be paying $700-$900 for the Gotstyle suits and $165 each for the shirts – so it’s like getting two shirts for free!

This suit sale is only on Gotstyle suits and shirts (so don’t try to bribe, beg or plead to get the sale on any of our other brands!)

If this is your first suit, why not take a look at Melissa’s new video?

Sale ends June 30, 2011.

Our big news for the week involves the most popular Canadian athlete in the world.

On Monday, we were invited to meet, suit up, and hang out with UFC Superstar Georges St. Pierre! On hand were Melissa, Armando, and I to have him try out a suit from Not Your Father and Without Prejudice (seen left), which he’ll be rocking all week before this Saturday’s main event.

By far, GSP is the nicest person ever. He was amazed how well the suits looked on him and how comfortable they fit. And to paraphrase, he’s “never worn a suit like this before”. Unfortunately I kept snapping photos when I should’ve been filming instead!

You can see all of the GSP photos on Facebook.

GSP takes on Jake Shields in the Octagon this Saturday, April 30th 2011. Best of luck Georges!

UK based Without Prejudice is a sophisticate affair, packed with detail and an occasional dash of sartorial adventure, just what you would expect from this British born, London bred menswear brand. Unique British styling and fits for the style conscious man.

Suits by Without Prejudice are between $895 and $950, with blazers priced at $550, shirts at $195, and pocket squares at $35.

Melissa says: take the time to look at the details this brand has to offer: surgen cuffs (hard to find in a suit at this price range), the last button hole stitch on the cuff is done in purple (for added pizazz), button hole stitch on the lapel is vertical instead of horizontal (again a small detail to make the suit stand out), half canvas construction, lots of inside pockets, beautiful fabrics. We’re excited to have this collectiion exclusive in Canada! They fit alot of the footballers in the UK, so they are made for a bigger guy who wants a trimmer looking suit – sizing is a bit interesting as well – a 42 fits like a 41, a 44 fits like is a 42.5 – so again perfect for guys who always felt inbetween sizes. Has the perfect navy blazer for Spring!
