Check out our Moose Knuckle parkas available for winter 2012!

Earlier this month we got these Moose Knuckles coats in, and now we’ve got even more in the store! The temperatures have definitely dropped for good now, so if you haven’t thought about those -20 degree days we all love so much, now’s the time!

If orange wasn’t for you, we’ve got the Ballistic Bomber in royal blue now. And for even more warmth, the Stirling Parka has finally arrived in black and dark grey.

The benefits of a Moose Knuckle parka are almost endless: they’re filled with 100% Canadian down, feature a down-proof liner, and cotton/nylon shell to provide you with wind and water proof warmth.

Ballistic Bomber on the left is priced at $750.

Stirling Parka priced at $790.

What’s New: Nobis Outerwear

November 15, 2011

We’ve already posted about Nobis outerwear before, but since it’s prime time for jacket buying, we’ll refresh your memory.

Nobis coats are made with 100% Canadian down and a water repellant outer layer. My favourite feature is the coyote fur-trimmed hood (faux fur also available) framed with wire, totally eliminating those annoying times where your hood gets blown down off your head.
Other great features include: sealed seams (so no rain or snow is getting in), pit-zip vents (to let some air through if you’re getting hot), fleece lined pockets (it’s the little details that count), wind flap with magnetic closure (good if you have to get in and out of your coat quick), ribbed cuffs with thumb opening (so the wind can’t blow up your sleeve).

Nobody wants to look like they’ve come right off of the Blue Mountain slopes, or suffer through freezing in a wool jacket, everyone should have a down filled parka (we do live in Canada). But not a Michelin man one.

There’s three models in store, the Cartel bomber pictured on the left $649, the parka underneath $895, and the Kato pea coat $825. All jackets are lined with a down-proof lining that allows breathability, but stops the down from poking through.

For all the downtown guys with a closet full of suits (from Gotstyle of course), the Nobis pea coat is perfect for wearing over suits and being warm while still looking stylish.

Wear Canadian. Haight & Ashbury is a Canadian brand that was founded in 1999 by the creative director of CID Inc. Having lived in the U.K. for some time, the British influence is evident in the collection that offers a unique fashion balance marrying London street style with North American zeal. From the cargo jacket, to the militaristic overcoat, to the classic Burberry inspired trench there is no denying that H&A offers something for every man. What more could you want than to have a coat that can easily help you transition from daytime casual to a wonderful night out with some friends. It’s always a good day when you have one less thing to worry about.

So, lets recap. Haight & Ashbury is Canadian, offers style and functionality, craftsmanship and quality and comes with a consumer friendly price point. Lets face it, whether you are looking to invest or just out to treat yourself to a wardrobe update, you gotta give these jackets/coats a try.

Did you know?

Haight-Ashbury is a district of San Francisco, California, USA named after the intersection of Haight Street and Ashbury Avenue. In the mid-1960s, this was perhaps the most famous intersection in the world, a place where young people came to from all over the world, free spirited in search of love and peace. Otherwise known as the “Summer of Love”.
