The Grammy’s, the worlds largest music award show took stage last night with some epic wins, losses and performances. From Annie Lennox taking us to church, Rihanna’s triumphant return to the charts, to Kanye pulling another Kanye there was no shortage of twitter worthy meme’s and highlights. Also worth mentioning was Sam Smith’s glorious clean-sweep and the incredible performance by John Legend and Common that closed the show. Speaking of Sam, the only thing better than his acceptance speeches were his outfit changes. The Grammy’s this year was the first time when the men, quite frankly, out-styled the women on the red carpet. From Pharrells’ 3M reflective Adidas suit to Nick Jonas’s sharp Versace grey plaid suit, the guys stepped up and out this year and we couldn’t be happier.
Here are our picks for Best Dressed Men at the Grammy’s.

This past weekend we hosted our annual F/W14 customer appreciation party, dubbed #GStyleSportif. As the #hashtag suggests, the theme for the event was all about luxury sport, mixing and matching your favourite threads and infusing it with an athletic flair. Whether that meant throwing on kicks instead of your brogues or swapping your favourite blazer for a leather bomber we left the interpretation to our clients. Needless to say, regulars at GS events know that our dos bring out the most dapper men in the city and this event was no different.
After scouring album after album, we’ve picked our favourite and most compelling looks of the evening. Our IT list isn’t about the most daring or bizarre, it’s about those with the confidence and cool to be themselves, celebrate their true aesthetic and who possess a unique understanding of what works for their body and build.

Regulars at GS events know that our dos bring out the most dapper men in the city. Last week’s 19 Crimes launch event took style to bold new heights. Our IT list isn’t about the most daring or bizarre, it’s about those with the confidence and cool to be themselves, celebrate their true aesthetic and who possess a unique understanding of what works for their body and build.

It’s official, athletes are the new red carpet risk-takers- proven beyond a doubt by the 2014 ESPYs. For those unfamiliar with the ESPYs (short for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly), the award show is presented by the American cable television network ESPN and honours individual and team athletic achievement, as well as other sports-related performance. This year’s show which aired on July 17th, was hosted by Toronto’s very own Drake and proved a shining example of how male athletes have been stepping up their sartorial game of late. While there were plenty of notable female athletes in attendance, this year, the men undoubtably stole the show.
Here are our picks for the Best Dressed Men at the 2014 ESPY Awards.
It’s no secret that when it comes to the Met Gala all eyes and cameras are squarely focused on the gown. However, given the subtle fact that Gotstyle specializes in menswear we’re here to assure that men of the red carpet get their dues especially given the fact that this years Gala had a strict “White tie” dress code. Fortunately, with Anna Wintour as the presiding Queen of the Met you can be rest assured that the men definitely brought it. Here are some of our favourites.
Last night we celebrated the best and brightest in the movie industry at the 86th Annual Academy Awards, otherwise known as the Oscars. Some of the highlights included 12 Years A Salve walking away with Best Picture, Lupita Nyong’o’s incredible Oscar win and speech, Ellen Degeneres’s infamous record breaking celebrity #selfie which not only garnered over 2,813,444 retweets but officially shut down twitter and who could forget style icon Matthew McConaughey nabbing oscar gold for Best Actor.
Speaking of Style Icons, last nights red carpet definitely saw it’s fair share of some great menswear fashion moments. We saw everything from white & burgundy dinner jackets, to classic blue & black tuxedos, down to shorts, yup fashion mogul Pharrell Williams channeled his inner Thome Brown/Nick Wooster and rocked a look only he could pull off. So without further adieu here are our picks of Best Dressed Men at the 2014 Oscars.
