With only seven in the world, Toronto Men’s Fashion Week (TOM*) joins the ranks of LondonParis and Milan as one of the only cities on the planet to host a male-focused style event. Premiering this August 11-15th at the The Fairmont Royal York (100 Front St W, Toronto), TOM* is a pioneering initiative that aims to increase the profile and visibility of our ultra brilliant menswear designers.

Ranked as one of the best menswear stores in the country, it’s completely fitting that we are involved in this exciting sartorial affair. Gotstyle is proud to announce our return to the runway- dressing some of your favourite homegrown celebrities-Toronto Raptor Greivis Vasquez, design guru Karim Rashid, writer and producer Tyler Armes, and Toronto’s latest bachelor, Tim Warmels for the Men’s Fashion4Hope presentation happening Aug 13th at 8:00PM.

Being a Filipino, I was deeply saddened by the tragedy in the Philippines. I still have a lot of relatives that live there that were personally affected by Typhoon Haiyan. At Gotstyle, since we are a family business (my brother Victor, cousin Reggie and my mom all help out) we will be donating a percentage of our sales in support of the World Visions’s Disaster Relief Fund, along with a personal donation, which will be matched by the Canadian government. We are also promoting the upcoming the Canada for Philippines Benefit Concert, in partnership with Kol Hope Foundation for Children, to raise funds and give hope to the millions of people, in support of World Vision’s Philippines Disaster Relief Fund. – Melissa Austria (Founder of Gotstyle)

Canada for Philippines Benefit Concert is a star studded evening of music and hope, featuring Toronto’s Original Miss Saigon, Ma-Anne Dionisio, Canadian Idol finalist Martha Joy, Broadway Star, Cornelia Luna, highly-acclaimed performers, Toto Bansil, and Emilio Zarris, Jocelyn Escutin-Seranilla, Arnold Galoyo, Karen Tan, and Ken de los Santos, Viva Records’s artist Chiqui Pineda, and many more, with special performances by award winning Canadian Singer-songwriter Amy Sky.
