CANADIAN MENSWEAR SPOTLIGHT SERIES: MONTE & COE
One of the great things about being a fixture in a growing menswear market is the unique opportunity we get to work with start up brands such as Monte & Coe.
Monte & Coe is a 100% Canadian company founded by three young Torontonians Matt Montemurro, Andrew Coelho, and Ron Scarafile. These guys had one mission in mind, to develop an everyday product that stands apart and they succeeded with their line of bags that are truly fit for any occasion.
Each piece is hand-made in Toronto, in limited batch sizes, to ensure that it represents an unparalleled dedication to originality and versatility. Manufacturing and designs are focused around two simple raw materials: 100% vegetable tanned leather which is an ancient method that uses tannin, a plant extract, to improve durability and provide colour which is eco-friendly and 100% chemical free and wool felt that is sourced directly from a mill in Montemurlo, Italy.
Make sure to check them out the next time you’re in our stores, or shopping online. All bags are $389
Melissa’s 6 Wardrobe Essentials For Fall ’13
It’s no secret that Melissa has been on an ongoing mission to help men look and feel their best all year round and this fall is no different. She’s back with another great guide to help you navigate some of this seasons must-have wardrobe essentials.
New Arrivals: British Invasion Without Prejudice
It was in an eclectic corner of North West London where two brothers who shared a passion for tailoring decided they’d reached a breaking point. Frustrated by over-hyped, underperforming menswear lines that were big on swagger but offered mediocre quality, they decided rather than grump about sliding standards it was time to fill a widening gap in the market. With that Without Prejudice was born.
Designed in Britain and made in Europe, WP offers no compromise on quality which is why the brand has been a recurring feature in our stores. For Fall, we’ve honed our attention to key pieces from the collection that are designed to enhance your wardrobe rather than blending in with existing styles. These pieces are great for adding that extra character to any outfit while maintaining that sartorial elegance.

Dress To Kill With 19 Crimes & Gotstyle
19 Crimes comes to us from one of the oldest and most storied wineries in Australia, Bailey’s of Glenrowan. It was established in 1870, by Richard Bailey –a former shop keep who supplied local gold miners. As the gold rush dried up, the resilient Bailey family turned to farming and established one of the region’s first vineyards in the harsh, unforgiving Victoria countryside.Today, Bailey’s stands among Australia’s finest wineries. It’s here, through a combination of old-world techniques and contemporary skills that 19 Crimes is proudly produced.
Bailey’s also has its share of criminal history. It was in 1880 at Glenrowan – just a short distance from the winery – that notorious bushranger Ned Kelly was finally captured. Stories like Kelly’s define the rough and tumble upbringing of Australia. It’s from here that the inspiration for 19 Crimes was drawn.
