Gotstyle’s 10 Year Anniversary’s Best Dressed

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary last summer at the Audi downtown dealership in Toronto. It was also in celebration and debut of the first issue of Gotstyle Man. The party featured a live band and a collection of influential guest at the fashion show; this fashionable event filled the room with many well-dressed men.

There were many dapper and unique looks, everyone came in their best dressed, but there are some who stood out from the rest. We love a good tuxedo, suit and colour combination. Click through our gallery to see if you made the list. Don’t forget to get your tickets for our upcoming Gotstyle Man Issue #3 Party. Proceeds go to support the local charity, The Remix Project.

On June 6, 2015 we hosted our biggest party ever in celebration of our 10yr Anniversary dubbed
“A Decade In The Making”. The theme; diamonds are forever, dress-code; creative fashion formal. The evening which was hosted at Audi Downtown Toronto catered to over 700 VIP guest and featured live performances by the incredible St. Royals and an epic runway show filled with top models like Paolo Roldan and celebrities guests like Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar, TV host Ben Mulroney, Sirus XM host Todd Shapiro and fashion journalist Glen Baxter just to name a few. Guests were also treated to a great selection of complimentary cocktails, Gotstyle gift bags and delicious appetizers from Treeline Catering.

In addition, the event also played host to the launch of our brand new magazine Gotstyle MAN which features over 116 pages of pure men’s fashion and lifestyle. Click here to check it out.

As always, none of this would’ve been possible with the incredible support of our amazing sponsors:

  • Audi Downtown, Scratch Marketing, Minto Westside, Without Prejudice, Nixon, Adelaide Club, Quintessentially Yours, LUXE Destination Weddings, Razor Company, The Leslie Group, Icon 1 Realty, KRG Insurance Brokers and Speedy Transportation

Every now and then there comes along an event that requires you to really step it up. The invite says “creative fashionable formal” but what does that really mean? Do you wear a full out tuxedo, do you jazz up a pair of jeans and blazer, what do you do? Well, for starters whenever you hear the word “formal” you should erase the word “denim”. Second reach out to our stylists to help guide you the rest of the way.

To better understand what “creative fashionable formal” really means, we got our stylists Nicole, Shae, Jenya and Sharad to put together looks that they’d recommend to their clients. These looks are as diverse as they come and hopefully give you some great ideas on how you can dress formal without losing your personality.

I Can’t believe it’s been 10 years. When I look back at my first piece of marketing material (with hopeful aspirations that we would be open in the Fall of 2004) it feels like yesterday that I was planning my dream store, that would be “a one-stop shopping oasis for men…with clothes to get them laid in…complete with a men’s only spa…in a bachelor pad environment”.  I’m thankful that I was too naive to realize that a 5,000 sq foot, buzz to get in, second floor walk up store, might not have been the best idea (amongst other mistakes) but I knew I hit a core with men in this city, wanting to dress better. 10 years, and lots of stress later, we now have two thriving stores, an on-line business, strong social presence, an amazing team, great customers who continue to support us and the ability to breathe!  I can’t wait for the next 10 years…..
