Gotstyle Turns It Up For Toronto Fashion Week

Gotstyle is turning it up Toronto Fashion Week with two epic parties you don’t want to miss. Join us March 26th at The Everleigh where we join forces with everyone favourite streetwear brand Zanerobe for a night of sheer pandemonium and on March 28th at The WildFlower where we get a little bougie with our “Wear a blazer, get free bourbon!” night. Two incredible parties, two amazing venues, two brilliant nights you won’t soon forget. See you soon!

All guys wearing a blazer gets complimentary bourbon drinks from 9pm-11pm (woman get bourbon drinks just for being you!) The Gotstyle crew will also be handing out $50 gift cards to blazer attired men and well dressed ladies all night. Extended licence until 4am.

Irreverent Australian menswear brand Zanerobe, is joining forces with style heavyweight, Joffrey Lupul of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Gotstyle to host one of our notorious Fashion Week bashes. Turn up at EFS Lounge tonight for copious cocktails, grunge-inspired looks and swag- courtesy of our favourite bad boy Aussies. Vive la sartorial revolution.

Canadian Menswear Spotlight Series: Christopher Bates

Yesterday we featured a veteran, today we bring you a great young designer that has really stepped up to the plate in the Canadian men’s fashion arena in the last few years. Christopher Bates self title brand was featured as one of the top six leading menswear designers in Canada by Sharp Magazine in September 2009, and was subsequently the only menswear designer in the Mercedes-Benz StartUp Program back in 2012, where he was also awarded with a sponsored show at World MasterCard Fashion Week in Toronto.

While CB is back on runway this week at World MasterCard Fashion Week (Wednesday, October 23 @ 4pm) to showcase his SS ’14 collection we’re happy to announce that we’re officially carrying a curated selection of his great Fall ’13 collection in-stores now.

Canadian Menswear Spotlight Series: Bustle

With World Mastercard Fashion Week starting today we thought it only appropriate to pay homage to some of this countries amazing menswear designers, starting with one of its veterans, Bustle Clothing. Founded in 2002 by Shawn Hewson and Ruth Promislow – both Bay street lawyers, Bustle Clothing has evolved into a leader in the Canadian men’s fashion scene and has become synonymous for its cheeky twist on the menswear classics. With pieces ranging from swimsuits to Red-Carpet suits, Bustle offers a full range of menswear – all with a strong focus on fit, unique and luxurious fabrics, attention to details, and of course, signature cheekiness.

Here’s a look into some of the great pieces we picked up for Fall ’13 from this iconic Canadian brand.
