Veronica’s Pick Scarf from DimitriChris ($325) Saw this and fell in love. It’s soft, warm colours, and I mean look at it – who doesn’t think it’s cute! |
Neale’s Pick Sweater from Full Circle ($195) This new sweater from Full Circle (featured tomorrow on the blog), is easy to dress up and dress down. An alternative to wearing a blazer, this sweater is made for cozy winter house parties and for the days in fall where you don’t want to wear a full jacket. Also available in lots of different styles. |
Christine’s Pick Jacket by Guilio ($35), Scarf from Vfrass ($35-55) The price point is unbeatable. Plus you get half off a Vfrass scarf when you pick one up. It looks great on guys I get to try on for two reasons: it’s trim fit and modernizing. |
Melissa C.’s Pick Jeans from Citizens of Humanity ($195) Loving the feel-good fabric and amazing colour. It’s cut to look flattering for the tall guys, and is the perfect pair of jeans to wear dressed up with a blazer, or down with a t-shirt. |
Vylan’s Pick Boots by Bunker ($210, left), Boots by Penguin ($175, right) When you can’t choose a favourite item of the month, choose two! Both of these boots are great for almost every kind of style – work or play. Tuck your wool jeans into them for work. The Penguin boots look fantastic with alternative bottoms. A must have this season. |

Featured in Gotstyle, Copied on GQ: Henleys + Denim Jackets
Few months ago we posted two articles on our blog: One on Henleys, the other on Denim Jackets. On this month’s issue of GQ, both pieces were featured items. Who says Gotstyle isn’t ahead of the trends?
For a fraction of the cost listed on GQ, new for fall are henleys from Sunday Rocks made from Bamboo (super soft!). Priced at $95
Read our article on henleys from February.
For fall we also have great denim jackets from Religion, another must have item that can go casual (worn over t-shirt and jeans) to dressy (white oxford shirt, knit tie and dress pants)

WINTER 2011 UPDATE: Read about our latest Moose Knuckles jackets this season!
—
With the summer coming to a chilly close, reality kicks in as we’re forced to start looking towards the question that comes out every year: “What jacket are you going to wear during the winter?”
The Canadian born label Moose Knuckles from Will Poho has been a great addition to the store since bringing them in over a year ago, becoming a customer favourite and one of our most popular brands.
We’ve had people asking since the beginning of August (!!) about the new Moose Knuckle jackets. Their website and Fall/Winter 2010 collection are launching this month and we’ve just received stock for their Parkas from small to large sizes.
Come and get them while they’re still around! Please note we will not be doing holds on these jackets.
Melissa says “if you want to be warm this winter and not look like every other guy sporting a Canada Goose jacket, then this is the one. I was finally been able to imbrace winter when I got a Mooseknuckle parka last year, now I laugh at minus 30 knowing I’ll be warm AND not look like a Michelin man (I do not however, look like the chick in the picture either).”
The Moose Knuckle Bomber Jackets will be available in the next few weeks.
They were featured in two news articles – read about them below!

What’s New: Casual Sports Coats from Haight & Ashbury + Tombolini
While these jackets don’t have the unique lapels as their Fall collection brothers, they make up for it with beautiful craftsmanship and timeless patterning. Nothing says man like these sports coats – pipe optional.
The Haight & Ashbury sports coat (right) includes leather patching down the arm. Just the right amount of leather to differentiate yourself, and with the brown-on-brown, it won’t make you look overboard. Priced at $325.
The new tweed Tombolini sports coat (below) – perfect for the casual days with a crisp white shirt. Tailor fit so you won’t look like the oversized guys. Priced at $550.
What’s New: Haight & Ashbury + LAB Outerwear
It’s getting chilly out there, which is a good and bad thing. The bad: it’s cold out. The good? It’s time to break out the jackets we’ve been dying to wear!
Affordable and functional, yet trendy and modern cut, Haight & Ashbury has three great jackets to choose from this Fall.
The charcoal wool trench (below, left) is a must for those evenings out on the town. Great for your silhouette, at a price that will surely have people calling. Also has leather underneath the collar, keeping you mysterious when flipped up. Priced at $450.
Another beautiful black double breasted trench (below, right) from Haight & Ashbury is optimized for rain and equally as cool as its wool counterpart. Priced at $375.
Lengthy trench coats not your thing? Haight & Ashbury also has a jacket for the sporty (below) – sure to keep you wind and water resistant during these unpredictable fall months. Priced at $295.
Lastly, the new LAB leather jacket (below) follows along with our previous recommendation to get away from the black leather jackets. This off-green, genuine leather jacket will transition you into fall without breaking a sweat – that is, unless summer runs late. Priced at $1350.
What’s New: Haight and Ashbury
Haight and Ashbury has been a fan favorite of the store since the beginning – offering great styling, impeccable workmanship at affordable prices (his shirts were usually all below $100). Over the years the collection has expanded to include vests, sportcoats, pants and accessories.
Eco, the creative director, who was born in East Africa, spent his formative years in London, England and you can really see the British influence coming through in his collection. Inspired by visits to his friends country estates and remembering the sharply dressed men in warm tweeds, rich cords and sturdy fabrics from his youth. Think country squire meets the modern man with updated silhouettes and outstanding details (leather trims, contrast fabrics).
