For those of you that visit our Bathurst st location often you may have already met him, for those that don’t we strongly recommend you drop by and say hi to our new Made-to-Measure expert Konstantine.

1) How long have you been working in this industry, specifically suiting?

I have been in the industry for 24 years, starting as a custom tailor and designer, later shifting my interest into mass production and subsequently re-focusing my efforts on made-to-measure and bespoke services.

2) What encouraged you to get into this industry?

Growing up, I was quite the electronically inclined kid.  My hobbies were computers and radio. However, I came from a line of old-school tailors, and always liked to dress well.  My grandmother was my strongest influence, as she was the one who taught me how to sew.  She was an incredible designer and seamstress with amazing eye for detail.  She was my first mentor and always had a comment or two about my skills.

3) Who are your style icons?

Way too many to list! I love both British and Italian tailored goods because of the level of sophistication they offer. At the same time, my icons would be designers or tailors themselves, rather their clients.  Armani is ageless and a class act who is always followed by many accomplished and young designers. At the same time, fashion would not be where it is today without the late Gianni Versace and his incredible art.  Today, perhaps I’m fascinated by Angelo Galasso who’s been called the Leonardo Davinci of shirts.

4) What is so great about a suit?

Suit makes a gentlemen, out of mere men. It is a status, sex-appeal and image.  No other piece of clothing (providing it fits properly) makes a man look serious, successful and “hot” at the same time.  When a gentlemen wears a properly chosen suit, he projects confidence, fashion sense and sophistication.

5) What are some of the most commonly asked questions from your clients?

Majority of clients always like to know the process involved in creating a Made to Measure suit and how it’s different from full bespoke. I also get a lot of questions about construction/fit of various garments and the quality of fabric they use.

6) What can people expect when they come to you to get fitted for a suit?

My goal is to empower my clients with the knowledge and advise, necessary to make the whole MTM process easy and enjoyable.  I want them to look great in their suits and to receive a ton of compliments.  After all, there is no greater reward than continuos business from happy client.

Gotstyle is proud to introduce a new Made to Measure option to our Gotstyle customers.

S. Cohen, a fourth generation suit manufacture from Montreal. Founded over 88 years ago, Cohen has been making fine tailored, high performance suits for generations of men around the world. They are one of the few manufacturers that realize that new technology is the only way to stay relevant and move forward.

In 2003, they built a brand new, state-of-the-art, cutting edge manufacturing facility in Montreal. This multi-million dollar investment enables the customer to have a half canvassed Made to Measure suit or sports coat in 7 days!

Added details include a fully customizable lining (from a company logo to a picture of you and your bride-to-be for your wedding suit!)
