Being cozy is what we all want when the weather is cold, especially once snow falls. But there’s no excuse to live in hoodies and sweat pants, so here’s two ways to do casual and cozy with style.
Ditch the jeans (or sweats) and get into some fabrics that are made to keep you warm: corduroy, flannel, and wool.
Life/After/Denim beige corduroy pants $148, Farah navy corduroy pants $125.
When you find the same material in two sections of our store in at least three different forms, you know it’s a good thing. Casual cord is warm, durable, and gives your outfit texture. Like a corduroy suit, casual cord lets you give the jeans, chinos, and cotton shirts a rest.
For pants, stay neutral and fitted. Wear them like they’re jeans, with just about any shirts or sweaters you’ve got. Just not a corduroy shirt.
Navy corduroy shirt $125, Shawl collared cardigan $208.
The newest casual pieces come from gsus, a brand that began as a rebel to the men’s fashion world. Twenty years later they’re much larger, but still stand for the same free spirited, independent values. Style without status symbols becomes personal, relaxed, and true to the wearer, and that’s why we love gsus.
Moose Knuckle parkas are back out on the shelves! These made in Canada, 100% down filled parkas are packed with details that’ll keep you warm in any weather: water repellant exterior, down-proof lining, detachable hood with blue fur trim and drawstrings, wind flaps, and fleece-lined pockets.
It’s tough to think about blizzards and -20 degree weather, but preparing for another Canadian winter is easy with parkas like this.
Ballistic bomber $750.
Stirling parka $795.
If warmth is your main concern, a longer parka keeps more of your body warmer. Bonus, the Stirling parka is long enough to wear with suits.
Debbie bomber $695.
We can’t keep our men warm without thinking about their ladies too! Not to say matching parkas is a good idea, but hey, when they look this good and they’re this warm, two Moose Knuckles aren’t bad at all. For the ladies, Moose Knuckle offers the same styles and the same details in the Debbie bomber and Stirling parka.
Stirling parka $795.
