MAKEOVER
In October, Frank Waszkun, President of Business Systems came to us wanting to give some his staff a head-to-toe Gotstyle makeover. After seeing the incredible transformation we did he’s back for round two. As Toronto’s leading copier and the official supplier to big name corporations like the ACC and the Maple Leaf sports group one can definitely appreciate Franks desire to ensure his team looks their best. To help his team them get there, founder Melissa Austria got into the trenches and personally styled each of these individuals to ensure they looked and felt their best.
The result, these incredible before and after shots from that makeover session (pre-alterations).

STYLE MANUAL

Even the best of us sometimes find ourselves at a loss when it comes to reading laundry symbols on our clothes.  As such, we take our best guess and do what most men do, put everything in a cold wash and hope for the best. For all intents and purposes, reading laundry symbols can be as much fun as reading Egyptian hieroglyphics (without the exotic thousand year old history).  Feeling the frustration of men all over, we felt that it was our solemn duty to demystify this generational quandary.

After searching high and low we are pleased to provide you with a lexicon that could quite possibly be the answer to all your laundry needs.  A great man once said, “with great knowledge comes great power”.  Thus, use your power wisely and be sure to practice safe laundering.

STYLE TIPS

The last thing you want when you’re in your 30’s or 40’s is to look like you’re desperately trying to be in your 20’s. Dressing age appropriate is as important for men as it is for women- which is why in this How To Dress video Melissa (Founder of Gotstyle) offers some simple style tips and tricks that will allow you to update your wardrobe without dating it.

ITEM OF THE WEEK

Bring your shorts’ ease of wear to an almost inappropriate level with these Saxx boxers. The dedicated underwear company combines serious technology and innovation with fine fabrics, comfort and style for a luxurious fit that is utterly addictive.

ABOUT SAXX:

On a fishing trip in Alaska, our inventor experienced intense chafing that left him wondering why men’s underwear wasn’t designed for how men are actually built. When he returned, he couldn’t shake the notion that a better design was possible. He teamed up with a designer and started brainstorming and working on prototypes. On the fourteenth attempt they combined four key innovations resulting in a new level of comfort and performance.

THE TECHNOLOGY:

Every pair of SAXX features a combination of technology and innovation that makes them the most comfortable, high-performance underwear ever made. The Articulated Front Pouch and Patented Internal Mesh Panels combine to give you the room you need, while preventing unwanted friction. Each pair also features a Moisture Wicking Waistband that keeps you dry when the temperature rises. Lastly, we use a wide range of cutting edge technical fabrics, each with a specific feature to enhance your wearing experience.

STYLE TIPS
It doesn’t matter who you are, what you wear or where you live- one fact is certain, you’ll be slipping on a sweater sometime over the next few months. We’re just here to make sure you pick one that’s age appropriate this holiday season.

How To Wear A Holiday Sweater In Your 20’s

This carefully crafted Merino wool, crew neck sweater by Lyle & Scott is great for the young guy looking to stand out from the crowd without looking like a juvenile delinquent. Pair it with some Zanerobe chino’s, high-tops and bomber for a look that is fresh and sophisticated.

Colour blocking is code for looking sophisticated in the fashion world. This multi-toned crew sweater by Johnny Love is a timeless classic and a great investment piece for that young budding professional. Ideal for layering, pair it with a bold check shirt and quilted blazer for that Queen W. vibe with a Bay St flare.

Ted Baker, known for marrying heritage pieces with classics cuts offers this great eye-catching tri-coloured, ribbed sweater for the fashionably inclined. Designed for the experienced dresser this piece is great with a pair of coloured chinos, puffer vest and cap-toed shoes.
Bring back the classic with this modern take on a traditional Fair Isle sweater by Van Gils. Pair it with a classic oxford shirt, selvedge jeans and quilted blazer because we all know you still run the style game.
